ERM participates in a meeting with the Vice President of the Republic, Geraldo Alckmin, and the Parliamentary Front of the Naval Industry.

Fabio Vasconcellos, commercial director of ERM and vice president of the National Union of the Shipbuilding and Offshore Construction Industry – SINAVAL, participated in a meeting of the Naval Industry Parliamentary Front with the acting President of the Republic, Geraldo Alckmin, labor unions, and business entities on February 29th, in Brasília (DF).

During the meeting, Vasconcellos emphasized that the meeting was very positive, but he highlighted the need for greater convergence of ongoing effective actions. “So far, no orders have been placed by the Petrobras system in national shipyards. There is a need for convergence of actions with the speech made with the launch of the PAC [Growth Acceleration Program],” he argued. During the meeting, everyone had the opportunity to speak and “bring some examples from other countries and some issues related to the FMM [Merchant Marine Fund], shipyard productivity, as well as policies from other countries with strong naval industries and whose governments help shipyards, such as in Korea, China, the USA, and the UK,” he added.
