
Rio Maguari participates in NN Logística in Manaus
24 de April de 2026Estaleiro Rio Maguari has been selected to build two TRAnsverse-class tugboats for Svitzer Brazil, with deliveries scheduled from 2027.
The contract reinforces the long-standing partnership between the companies and introduces to the Brazilian market a design already proven internationally, focused on enhanced maneuverability, operational efficiency, and safety.
Svitzer’s Managing Director for the Americas, Daniel Reedtz Cohen, said the new TRAnsverse Tug design “significantly improves agility and delivers greater power in variable positions. We are investing in this new type of tug and bringing this solution to our customers.”
Fabio Vasconcellos, Commercial Director of Estaleiro Rio Maguari, stated: “Being selected as the first shipyard in the Americas to build this new class of tugs reinforces Svitzer’s confidence in our technical capabilities and positions Rio Maguari as a strategic partner for complex projects.”
